Can use MOTB exported character to play original campaign?

I finish MOTB and export my character before proceed to ending, after when I want to use that character to play the original campaign, my character does not appear in the list. Instead only the level 1 character which just created at very beginning available in the list.

Is there anyway I can use my character to play original campaign.

Besides that, when I use my old character which finished the original campaign to play in MOTB, I found out that all my inventory item and my main hand and off hand weapon are disappear. How can I prevent this?

1.I can't help you because i don't have access to the NWN2 right now.
2.When i played the MOTB i had the same thing. I'm guessing its the part of the plot, just to make things a little bit more interesting.

One question.. All armor remains, right? Just weapons disappear?

Yes, only equipment in main hand, off hand and item in inventory disappear.
Equipments which equiped on character's body remain.
