Thoughts on the Super Bowl...
I usually only watch the super bowl for the commercials and the halftime show... but this year i actualy watched the opening. so far... not too bad.
and i must add... kudos to Jennifer Hudson on a great performance and choosing this event to make her first public appearance/performance since her family tragedy.
so... what do you think of the super bowl so far?

As someone who normally finds the NFL incredibly boring, the game hasn't been too bad so far. Some fairly good plays, and the 100-yard run before the half was pretty epic.
Unfortunately, being in Canada, I'm missing out on most of the commercials. And I don't care at all for Bruce Springsteen, who's on right now for the halftime show.

The commercials were bloody awesome.
Aliens jacking the astronauts vehicle on the moon as an advertisement for Bridgestone tires was just hilarious!
Otherwise, I didn't watch it. I hate sports, and I'm completely ignorant on football and teams and stuff (seriously, for the longest time of my life I had no idea who the colts were and I LIVE in Indiana).

I would not call the victory by the Steelers a spanking, but I am happy that it was a good contest. I was wanting the Cardinals to win, but now I'll have to deal all the 'Same Old Cardinals' stuff at least a few times this week. Thanks for a good run this year Cardinals!
I'd rather be part bull than a complete sheep.

Ah. Boobies, beer, football and chicken. Good ole Amerrican values. Common Americans who acknowledge the worst of the financial world crisis has yet to happen and are willing to acknowledge part of the blame, come out and take a bow!

Couldn't see it cause it is in the middle of the night local time and was too busy at work to take time off.
Doesn't matter when Cardinals didn't win though - not that I follow American style handball ... eeh - sorry - football much to have a favourite team (don't even have that in real football ), but I did see the play-offs and Cardinals did play really well in them, so I wanted them to win.
Colleague of mine did take time off and said the game was amazing. Bummer for time differences (or work, which ever is easiest to get rid off).

I feel ripped off though, I missed the 30 second porn program that was broadcast in place of part of the game in certain places.

It's nice to see that you're opening your mind to the strategy sport of football (at least a little). I'm always amazed at how hostile some women are to football. It's as if they think that if they watch they will turn into a male or something. I warn you, watching too much leads to understanding the simple rules, and THAT leads to seeing that the sport of football is not evil, and THAT leads to {gasp} enjoying it.sparky_kat wrote: now, the only football i watch is the superbowl... and as i said before... only for commercials and halftime show (if its a decent preformer)...... but i must say...i actually watched most of the game. although i did miss about an hour when i had to run to the store... then to the bank... then BACK to the dang store

Boom...man we've been spoiled with good Superbowls lately. Still, I think last year's was overrated, basically just one great play (the helmet catch baby!) , which makes this one the best since Patriots-Panthers at least.
I was really rooting for the Cardinals. As much as I respect the Steelers organisation, I never loved 'em. A shame they lost, but what a great ending, and a thankfully clearly deserved win in a game that could have been completely dominated by the bad playcalling.

Wait, did anyone here even watch the Superbowl for the game?
