If you can even find a way to kill one being in the game: the Sewage Golem in Irenicus' dungeon, you'll win my praise and admiration. If you can do that, he rest are a pushover. I think it's impossible...the only thing in the game so far that I think they protected properly.

Kevin's correct. That particular golem reminded me of a GameMaster in one of the massively multiplayer yadda games: they can stand there and chuckle at you while in mortal mode, and you still can't do enough damage to finish 'em off. (I know. I've tried. I've also been a GM.)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

'fraid you might be thinking of the Jailkeep Golem. That one is in the little room with the trapped painting right by the cells where you start the game. The Sewage Golem is the near all the jarred people, who needs the Activation Stone. Try the Staff Of The Magi on it; you'll get a "Spell Ineffective" like you will with everything else. Try it and you'll see.

Somehow they have mapped weapon damage into magic damage and then made it immune to all spell levels. They should have done that with all "unkillable" things.

This is crazy. You can't even get to some area's by killing everyone. What's the fun of this?

For the homicidal I recommend going to drow city and killing everyone. You don't loose any rep. plus thier jerks anyway.

I have tried a new tactic: lowering the Strength. Imoen was easily killed, but the Sewage Golem survived.
Ray of Enfeeblement pushed down the Strength to 5, but the Contagion had no effect on it. Image

Okay, theory time. If my opponent is protected from magical weapons or such - and I use a weapon that either a) drains levels or b) drains ability points, will those drain effects still be active?

i've been told that reducing an attribute score to 0 accomplishes the same kill as HP reduction or level reduction.

any thoughts?

Aye, first thing. :^)

That and all the bleeder weapons, Lower Resistance/Cloudkill Wand (this would damage him, but he must regenerate or have stellar HP as I did about 1,000 damage with no dead Sewage Golem to show for it, and it probably doesn't work at all since I fixed the bug with the Wand) instant-death spells (Spell Ineffective again.) He's a tricky one.
