Help with BG2 on a Mac

I play on a Mac, recently installed BG2 SoA and ToB using "macplay" versions of the game, and when I try to run it i get an error that looks like...
"An Assertion failed in ChDimm.cpp at line 666
Programmer says: Unable to Open Bif:data:MISSound.bif"
Any help? I'm not really tech savvy especially with macs, but if anyone knows whats wrong and can maybe walk me through how to fix it, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!
