Picking Pockets

Post by She-Wolf »

Yeah, I know there's a good reason why I always loved rogue classes in rpgs. Just this morning, I pickpocketed Berto in Avestrue and got meself no less then 26 Oneberry Juices! I'd say that's quite a haul, considering it's at the very beginning of the game.

I used Dranor this time around, with pickpocket skill 9 and also, I pickpocketed Berto only after I finished his "get ten oneberries" quest. I don't remember seeing that many potions on him before, so the amount might have something to do with finishing his quest first - I don't remember getting such a haul with my burglar in my previous game. *shrug*

So there, a bit of useful info, I believe.

I wonder if it's random.

I picked his pocket with Dranor, as well, but I don't recall but a handful of One Berry potions. Unfortunately, I can't recall if it was BEFORE or AFTER the One Berry quest.

I robbed Bento twice after completing his quest and got 5 and then 2 oneberry juices. Maybe he just accumulates more juices over time.

I do think he accumulates them, though how long it takes him to do so, I am not sure. I do know, though, that I did the same thing twice, with two different characters and both times, I ended up with 20+ oneberry juices. For what clues this may yield, Bredo walks a fixed patteren and after a while (after the berry wuest is done), he'lll walk up to the shrine (where the first thieves quest chest was), then walk down again. After he walks down, all 20+ potions were on him on both of my playthroughs.
