Battlefield 1 Dungeon 1 empty

Post by Ouroborous »

Having fought my way to the bottom of the first dungeon in the first battlefield I'm slightly confused to find that its empty. there are five rooms no enemies and 72 gold in a cupboard but nothing related to a quest. Now when I go talk to annabelle theres no dialogue option about her quest, do i need to reload an earlier game or am I missing something obvious.

I recall a bug like this showing up soon after the game was released. Have you visited the official site and downloaded the latest patch?

I already downloaded the latest patch 1.49 and installed it. i tried loading an earlier game and checking that but it had the same problem. I may just have to give up on that quest or restart again.

I had a similar experience in the second dungeon on the first battlefield. In the first dungeon I found 3 of the total 5 quest items while the second dungeon had nothing at the bottom, except some fruit in a barrel. Haven't gotten to the third and last dungeon yet, but I'm expecting the remaining 2 quest items to turn up there.

So, my theory is that since there is a total of 5 quest items and only 3 dungeons to place them in, the number of quest items found in each dungeon is randomized - so one may turn up empty once in a while - but totalling up to 5 when you've been to all dungeons.

PS: Talk to all 5 shopkeepers and receive all 5 quests before you start the dungeon crawling... to make sure all quest items are available to you.

Annatar is right. The quest monsters and items are randomized. All of them (5 quests per battlefield) could very well end up in the final dungeon, or they could be evenly spread out across the multiple dungeons. Later battlefields have up to 6 dungeons so there could be a lot of exploring before you complete all the quests.
