The D and W mean the same thing (1D6). When they did the English translation, they made the translation from the German W to a D for English, but they only did it on the first one.
1 D6 is an average of 3.5, but could do anywhere from 1 - 6 damage. Your top weapon would do an average damage of 10.5 at your current strength, with a minimum damage of 8 and a maximum damage of 13. The bottom one would do an average of 11 damage at your current strength, with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 16.

Thanks a lot Bigchief. I'm sorry but i still can't see how do you come up with those numbers... where does the min 8 max 13 and min 6 max 16 come from?bigchief wrote:The D and W mean the same thing (1D6). 1D or 1W means 1 six sided dice, or one everyday normal dice used in most board games or in craps. If you roll a dice, you can get any number between 1 and 6, and the average is 3.5.
Your first example (1W+7 with Strength 18) means that it rolls a dice and adds 7 to the number. Since you can roll anything between a 1 and a 6, that means that the total will be 8 if you roll a 1 and 13 if you roll a 6.
In your second example (2W+4 with Strength 18), you are rolling 2 six sided dice and adding 4 to it. With 2 six sided dice you can roll anything between a 2 and a 12, so when you add the 4 to it, your minimum is 6(if you roll a 2) or a max of 16(if you roll a 12).
