I haven't seen it mentioned here (and I have to admit it surprises me).
So here is the news for those who don't know yet: there is a new Monkey Island game! (Although it's only an episode and not the full game yet.) You can even download a demo!
They are also planning a remake of the first title of the series. You're supposed to be able to switch from the old version to the new one anytime during your playthrough.

Probably because it's an adventure title, rather than RPG. I've seen it mentioned about, and it's good to see it's been released in chapters like the latest Sam & Max. I have no idea regarding its quality, however.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
Some of the people working on it had worked on the original Monkey Island and Sam and Max, and another one worked on Day of the Tentacle. It doesn't necessarily means it will be good, but one can hope.
