Drainlife vs. Spellfire

Post by bushwhacker2k »

I want to make an arcane spellcaster, but I just don't know whether I should go for Drainlife or Spellfire, they both sound good.

yea spellfire, better to do more damage and blast enemys in one hit, so you dont need the drain life thing, since they dont hit you cus of so much damage :)

of course some mobs have a bit to much hp, like dragons, but thats easely solved aswell; Frost chards
Something with mass hp but immune to frost ? gas cloud from nether magic, Mages dont get hit, and way to overpowered imo, especially with bad economy system. With the right skillsetup you can leave fargrove with 9999 fireballs, 9999 gas clouds, take a trip to the witch in the swamp and get 9999 frost chards and your set for the rest of the game.
Only place somewhat challenging for mages is the sewers pre fargrove.

Dragon Killer combo:

Tornado + Cold Shards...

Multiple Dragons:

Nova Spammage
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

quick kills

or you can raise arcane magic to 40 spellfire to 15 and run in with fire ward on and cast 2 cataclysms and watch em die.

edit: if your asking about going warlock or wizard go wizard but if you make a female go enchantress/war witch it will be worth it. especially if you go sorcerer as well! thats 4 arcane learning bonuses. up to mid/high 20's your arcane magic will be under 1mil per skill point!!!

That will require editing in the heavy weapons and armour proficiencies that are required for the War Witch class, though. A non-edited War Witch requires Valkyrie, Paladin or Battlemage.

you cought me having a brain fart. it is the battlemage class i meant, instead of sorcerer. thank you for correcting me. eventhough battlemage gets the heavy armor and other heavy skills they are basically useless. and they get expensive very fast!!! like 3 mill xp to go from 11 to 12 heavy weapons.
