Point Lookout DLC

Hi I recently dowloaded point lookout from xbox live, I had read that the dlc activates automatically after a few minutes of game time. This doesn't seem to work for me. Do I need to be a certain level (currently level 12), or have found a certain location to activate the DLC? Any help would be great thanks.

Maybe just stand around outside for a few minutes. There aren't any requirements for the DLC. I've picked it up while moving between Vault 101 and Megaton at level 2.
