2 person party

Post by Pellinore »

Hi. I am going to start a new run and was thinking of a 2 person party of myself (ftr/clr) and Immie (thief/mage) and gatekeeper Immie to half-elf so she can be multi-class. This is my first run of less than a full party, any advice? Will this be difficult?

It shouldn't be harder than a game with a full party, even if you dualclass Imoen. You can use an XPCap remover to reach higher levels, but that's not necessary.

Thanks. I chose Cleric/Ranger rather than ftr/cleric and will probably dual Immie at 7 since Gatekeeper won't let me change her race or class  . I have also entertained the thought of picking up a third member to make best use of items found. Any suggestions? I thought about Garrick so I can have backup arcane power and Immie won't need to waste slots on PP and he is available early.

I've done basically that same thing except the PC was a Cleric/Ranger and I duel classed imoen instead off multi. I think it was much easier than going with a full party but it was alot of fun and they didn't really become too overpowered because I didn't remove the experiance cap.

Imoen missing her theif skills does stink but if you save the right quests that you wouldn't need a theif for she will level up extremely quickly as a mage because she's getting half of the parties experiance going into one class.

Edit: just saw you second post
You don't need a 3rd character, save you wands until Imoen duels and then use them indiscriminantly do the same with potions. More than enough to go around with only 2 players.
:) Once again time to give someone the boot to make room for Coran. LOL :)
