Mordenkainen's Sword: Five for One?

Post by drktmplar »

I was in the sewers below the priest district on my solo sorcerer. I saw a mustard jelly and did not feel like throwing MMMs at him, so I summoned a Mordsword. All of a sudden, five swords sprang up with the message, "You cannot have more than five summons at one time" or however it goes.

That means the spell summoned more than five at once? I was about to leave the area, so I cast a Death Fog on them and tried to see if my Mordy spell was still malfunctioning - nope, one sword was summoned.

Does anybody know what happened? Is it natural for the game to randomly roll you five or more mord swords per cast? ^^

Do you have the latest official patch installed?
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

.
The problem is that the people with the most ridiculous ideas are always the people who are most certain of them.
