heey,

i have 2 questions about the game,
how can you get spells and where can you find lockpicks

Spells can be bought from any mage guild hall in all the towns of Cyrodiil, and their headquarters at the Arcane University. Also, there are miscellaneous shops which do offer a selection of spells, such as Edgar's Discount Spells in the Imperial City Market District. For a detailed list of spell merchants, look [url="http://www.uesp.net/wiki/oblivion:spells"]here.[/url] It lists all the spells you can buy and their vendors in a vanilla Oblivion.

Lockpicks on the other hand can be purchased from the Thieves Guild members. All the fences sell them. If you are reluctant to spend the cash, you can usually find them on the remains of bandits and goblins, but those are few and far between. If you want lockpicks in bulk, buy them from the fences.

Once you join the thieves guild they are revealed to you. You also need to be in the guild to be able to use them.
