did anyone else find the end fight ridiculously anti-climactic? I mean, geez, the dragon in dragon's rather had more hit points and was, slightly, harder to kill--or at least i lost more people. this time, i barely lost any and that only due to the fact that i was wacthing t.v. and was letting them fight on their own and not paying attention. one would think that the end bad guy would employ a huge army at the same time rather than just pulling in a few little summoned folk every once in awhile. and then, he did not even use any seck? just those weak little lava critters that explode after two hits? a bit of a disappointment, i have to say.

I would agree the final confrontation was an easier battle than I would have expected (my hardest fight seemed to be against the Goblin robot), though I seemed to remember different beasties summoned than your Lava critters. The battle with the Sorcerer Gresh, if you stayed and fought, was also more taxing.
The addition of Seck grunts and archers would definately have made it a harder fight.

If you stayed and fought Gresh? I didn't know you could run. That was definitely the hardest battle for me.
The dragon and the end guy, I just had my two melee guys and archer wail away while my mages cast reconstitution and healing wind.
Never even was in danger of losing, but with Gresh, I had to keep my healing mage on the run. Much harder.

gresh was really the best fight in the game. those skeleton archers wore me out and i lost my mules in seconds (this was the only time i had really paid any attention to where they were and got even more mad when they just stood there and kicked rather than following my people as they attempted to regroup--retreat--and come back ready to go. live and learn). i think i may have had to reload that fight. one of the few times i had to do so. the dragon was slightly difficult only b/c i didn't feel like using any tactics other than hack 'n slash. the same i used with the last guy. the last fight, all i did was whale away until he dropped over dead. kinda dull. i was hoping there would be some strategy in there somewhere. maybe something like the goblin dungeons which were pretty tough.
I agree with previous posters that the end fight was surprisingly easy - none of my characters died, not even my healer natural mage who usually goes down in all harder fights. Gum's graphics were outstanding though, especially his 2nd form, but the spectacular effects didn't do much damage really. I think he could have had company of some of his archers and mages, and his attack could have attacked with a higher frequency. I even had most of my healing potions left after the fight.
Apart from Gresh, another difficult battle for me was at the graveyard in the swamp. The witches and the tons of headless zombies, that was a good fight.
