Freezing at the 1st loading screen - the balck one with white dots

Almost every time I try to start DS it freezes at the black screen with the white dots(8 dots). I tried everything microsoft suggested including "height=480 width=640 bpp=16" , nointro=true, nosound=true, verifydata=true and also done all the things listed here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... 4&GSSNB=1. As a result the game starts correctly only once or twice out of 10 tries ///

Freeze

Verify data is testing the files that are being loaded. Juat wait and it should run.

If you are runing WinXP then check Direct X for the latest version. Click on windows update and select Direct X Microsoft will tell you if you need an update.
