Hello.
i've been looking forward to playing this game for quite some time now. However I do have one question that could be a serious hurdle in my doing so.
I am currently living in the farthest reaches of BFE, meaning I have no access to DSL and currently do not have cable(for my comp). So my question is would I be able to run this game on a good ole' 56k connection? Or should I just hold off.
My system specs are well within the requirements to run the game so that won't be an issue...I'm just worried about lag because of connection speed...
Thanks for any help.

Question about purchasing
Well - I don't know exactly what the requierment are for running WoW (I never check requierments these days), and how well they have coded the game.
But knowing something about network traffic - I would think you could at least play WoW.
I'm not sure how well and fluent it would run when much happens on the screen and I would also think you would encounter some occasional heavy lag/latencey.
However you also need to consider if your connection is even stable enough as dial-up to play such a game, because going link dead because your connection disconnect is not good in such a game. (or in most multiplayer games)
I personally have played daoc with a 256/128 cable for quite a long time - and that game have never run smoothly on my computer when a good deal happened on the screen or nearby. However - that game was extreemly poorly coded with memory leaks for quite a long time and had some absurd graphical implementation also for quite some time.
I think you will have to try it out for yourself to jugde if you can play it, because it is pretty difficult for anybody to tell you because there are to many factors playing in - but my guess would be that your connection would struggle at least.

Insert signature here.
Blizzard themselves say that a 56k connection should be enough but you might still get lag as that does not really depend on your connection bu your ping time and the stability of your line.
