Actually a buddy of mine has IGN insider and we just happened to be glancing across the status of X-Box 2 and what not and along with HALO 3 already being developed for the new system, KOTOR III was a confirmed title already in development as well. Not sure exactly where this article was again on IGN but I'll take a look again here and see if I can't come back and update this thread with the link.

No, X-Box 2 will not be backwards compatible. I remember reading here on Game Banshee sometime over the summer
KOTOR 3 was being discussed but I think problems at Lucasarts put the discussion on hold.
140+50? you wish...X-box 2 will probably be at least 250 when it comes out...considering the x-box is $150 NOW
Being a PC gamer, I don't know what I think of KOTOR 3, but I hope they make enough changes to the graphics, to remedy the problems in the first two (Low frame rates) I've had problems with my 1 gig of ram, 2.8 gigahertz system with a 256 NVidia 5700 (not LE)...that's just not right, especially when I can run Half-Life 2 with the specs cranked up and still be downloading something at the same time without a single problem...
I also hope that if there is a KOTOR 3 it will not be so tied to the first two, you know? something maybe 50 or 100 years later. Obviously you would have to keep some elements of the original, otherwise calling it KOTOR would be a lie...so maybe only 25-50 years in the future.

Kotor 3
the next would have to take place soon after this game with the way it leaves. I imagine you become some new guy who has to search for revan and the exile in the new "sith worlds". Or perhaps revan and the exile returne as bad guys. Wha.t I was hoping for personally would be to have the game take place during the much talked about exar kun wars, or perhaps long ago when marco ragnos or another one of the entombed sith lords was happening.
As for the first person shooter star wars, guy have you not noticed the star wars demo on KOTOR 2 disc. Its basically a Star Wars Halo, not bad but could easily be better.

If they do make a KOTOR III, make it less laggy. I play on XBOX and if there is a lot of blaster fire or force power usage, it lags really bad.
You should've been able to go to more than just one city on a planet.
KOTOR I was much better, it had more quests and the planets took more work to complete.
Battles should be less of "I press Master Flurry 5 times and enemy dies"
The battles should be more realistic where you can manually dodge blaster fire and melee attacks. These attacks need to take more damage. If you got hit with a lightsaber once, you should have like half your life taken off. But even Cannoks take 2 Master Flurrys to kill.
