Couple stupid questions from a noob

Post by Brockaine22 »

Mainly just need to know what the max ammount of points is in each skill. My character is going to be a dual-wielding elf and i wanna plan out how many i can put into each major skill. Thanks.

If i understand you correctly, one can spend up to 20 points in each "skill". However, with higher ranks the added effect greatly decreases. So adding 1->2 points gives you +10% of something, and going from 19->20 only 1% or even less(0.5% :) ). In my game i found 6-12 points spent, depending from the importance, to be the golden middle.

Some exceptions are effects durations, which are scaled up rather linear. Like 2-Handed stun skill.

The Prima strategy guide has it--assuming you want to fork over the cash for it.

We'll have that sort of information here... eventually.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Yes, and well worth waiting for. I can't help but think that the reason so little information is currently offered in manuals like DS2's is to sell strategy guides--so in a way, putting up very useful info at sites like this helps discourage strategy guide sales. Perhaps if the guides sell poorly enough, the content will be placed back in the future where it should be: in the game box. At least, one can hope...
