Add-ons

What add-ons do you use?
I heard that interface addons may screw up the game so I don't dare to install anything like Flexbar or such, let alone add-on packs, those are a nightmare.
Anyway, there are some which are definitely useful and safe to use like ScrollingCombatText, SpellAlert and MobHealth, I love these
Now I'm looking for a Priest add-on that would show the buffs/debuffs on all party members (with timers, preferably). Is there such thing?

CTRaidAssist is pretty much essential for a support character in Molten Core and similar.
But for some reason, people want their computer to play for them, so they want all sorts of interface add ons installed, so they don't have to think, but simply press a button and the right spell is cast at the right target.....
But unfortunally - as I said - it is pretty essential for support characters, and you can get in trouble with your raid if you don't have this add-on. Many guilds even requier it for going into such dungeons.

So what does this exactly do?
I don't want anything that will automatically cast the most mana efficient heal on each target or something... I just would like to see the buffs/debuffs currently active on each member so that I could keep an eye on Weakened Souls and such...

CT RA allows you too see the health/mana/buffs/debuffs of all raid members. It helps tons with healing and decursing in all raid instances.
I'm a big fan for Addons and use quite alot of them. My view is that if blizzard allows it use it. As I'm raiding BWL on a weekly (almost daily now adays) basis I have the challange to keep me in the game even if I use many addons. For a short list I use regularily:
Bibtoolbars (nice)
CTRaidAssist (essential)
Decursive (useful, but can do without.)
Gatherer (useful)
Mapnotes (useful)
EquipCompare (useful)
Selfcast (essensial)
CT* Mods (All of the CT mods that effect party/played/mobs frames)
Many of the mods I use are just there for me to not have to do repeated tasks over and over again that are booring. When the fan hits the oven no amount of UI's are going to help you, they might event stop you from performing (Except for what I call essensial UI's, I could not live without those).
From time to time some mods clash and it takes a couple of hours of fiddling to figure out which one it is and to fix the problem, but as I'm a programmer by proffesion I find it to be another fun part of this game

You could get MiniGroup which does what you want (but you'll have to hover to get the time of the buff). MiniGroup is for your party only. I think CastParty also has bufftimers shown in it if you hover the buff, 100% sure though. If you want to be able to see a whole raid, CTRaidAssist is the only option.

I am using
CTmod (almost all of them)
CTRaidAssist
Gatherer
Maximizer (not really a mod, but extremely useful)
Titan
Atlas
CastAway (extremely useful for making complicated macros)
Auctioneer
ItemsMatrix
QuickMountEquip
Scrolling Combat Text

I'll look into it, thanks.

Aww
![Frown :(](./images/smilies/)
I chekced its description at er.. what was that, not cursegaming but the other wow mod site, and it appears way too complicated for my liking...
Maybe those to you mentioned above will do, surely one Priest cannot look after 39 other ppl so I guess I'll be assigned to heal one group of the raid - probably being able to view party buffs/debuffs will be enough, after all.

One priest can't look after an entier raid, but you can be pretty sure you'll not only be assigned to look after one group.
When fighting bosses or doing taunt-rotations, you often have to heal other groups and/or people, and it is there that CTRaid Assist comes into play. As well for dispelling if you are on dispelling duty or similar. Then you pretty much need to view the entier raid group.
When doing taunt-roations, I found that each time the Main Tanks called for the next in rotation, I started casting a heal on the new taunter. This way - one priest could keep the tauntrotation healed. Wouldn't be easy without the addition of Main Tank boxes in CTRaidAssist (or perhaps another mod).
Also - as a priest, I did once heal 3 groups through parts of MC until the time when we came into boss-fights in which I was shifting on the Main Tanks.
Or just when you are the main priest of a 2 group raid into some other dungeon....
CTRaidAssist is very nice and surly helpful, and does infact make priest (or other utility caster classes) easier.
My beef with mods are the ones which automate things... ct-raid assist mainly just (clutters) modifies your interface with many new information about the raid.
