Blokes (?) and their weird conversations :) NO SPAM (I am warning you)

Post by Mr Sleep »

Has anyone noticed how every conversation on this board seems to revolve around...

a) Wanking
b) Spamming
c) Ass
d) Booty (Female or male Image GB)
e) Hitting on women
f) De-crying posts or people who are supposedly offending others.

I have seen reference to complaints about these conversations but due to my heavy work load i have missed most of these comments, it would be edifying to know what people like Chrissy and Buck think of these strange conversations. Serious answers please!

There is also a lot jesting goes on about people's sexuality. Just think, we're putting off all the gay BG2 players out there - people like Foul, Waverly and Sleazel Image What sort of testosterone pumping image are we portraying> Image shame!

And then there's the people who prefer the 'company' of animals - like Foul and Mr Sleep. Our banter must really upset them. "Judge not lest ye be judged" - who said that? You know, Captain Whatshisname. Image

Well I would never condone such foul business as "spamming" and since I've got a gf I haven't got the time for "wanking" or "hitting on women".....
Being this "serious" person that I am maybe I could give you a "serious" answer.......from my point of view.....
It's all in the human nature......
Sure a lot of it may seem like "ludacricy"(is there such a word????)....but I guess no one is perfect...or normal for that matter......
Take for example all the guys that are "hitting on" Chrissy and Minerva.......human nature......old instincts from thousands of years before that are slowly awoken...... Image

Are you telling me you wouldn't like to be "slowly awoken" by chrissy or minerva?

I have never hit on Minvera and only Twice on Chrissy.

The term Hit on makes it sound like Hit me Baby one more time, the first time i heard that i assumed she was saying something else, one thing i don't condone is hitting women, but these titles - if just glanced at - can cause you to think they are condioning hitting women.

Saying it is just human nature is a major cop out, it makes it sound like we don't have control over our actions. It is the same nonesense as the Evolution religion, basically debasing human beings to the point of being animals, and then we can balme it on us being animals and then we don't have to be accountable for our actions!

It sickens me to think that human Beings would accept being on the same level as animals, why would anyone wish to be compared to a monkey....

Valid points to the contary are welcome.

BTW i do not want this to descend into name calling i just wanted to put my point accross.

Fair enough Sleep. But your serious Q contained a flame at me regarding my sexuality - don't knock others for having a laff when you can't seem to decide if your being serious or not yourself.

Do we have to preface serious topics with
WARNING! ************Serious******* now?

People talk about lotsa stuff and many of us seem to get the laffs were after. Check out the Football thread - fairly serious, little, if any, spam. Now how'd that get in here??? Image

Creation of course, bear in mind not necessarily a religion but definately spiritually.

Evolution on the level of a species adapting to it's surroundings is quite plausible. There is far too much evidence to the contary to proove Darwins theory, which if you investegate it precisely is the ramblings of a disincanted, racist, bitter Human.

@Sly that is a reasnoably good point, cultural differences prohibit a certain amount of humor, 'till explained quite a few people on this board didn't know what the word 'Wanker' meant.

Hey you asked, why is it that mature 'adults' can't have a conversation about these topics, bouncing ideas off one another, without it descending into an argument, surely we are above that behaviour.

I suppose that will be answered..... Image

Sorry but humans are most certainly animals, and despite your high school text books...we are not even the most rational members of the animal kingdom.

All of the above topics are good fun in moderation. All of the above topics have a danger of offending. I encourage anyone who doesn't like the topics that are currently hot to start a new one or jump in and divert an existing one. It's that simple...with few exceptions, no one here has set out to offend anyone. I would rename '(e) hitting on women' to '(e) flirting' because it goes both ways. Any unwanted 'flirting' can usually be doused by a good natured flame (ironic, eh?).

It's not the arguments...arguments can be settled by agreeing to not to agree...

@Osiris. If you're really a prominent psychologist you'd tell me that my chronic spamming and lewd heterosexuality are due to the fact that I hate my father. Image

I agree with that....take for example the DNA-code.....the human DNA-code is almost identical to other "animals"......

@ Waverly, there is a quirky subject in science, did you know a Tomato has more chromosones than a human being Image

If anyone is interested in finding arguments against Evolution then look for a man called Dr. Kent Hovind he knows more than most as he was a Biology teacher for many years.

We may be technically less proficient than other animals, i mean cows have four stomachs, you don't really beat that do you Image but that doesn't negate the fact that we have intilectual power over these animals.
