Set Items
Set Items
This regards the character build board. I noticed that non of the builds recomends getting a complete set for the class. Such as the Strafe-zon not being recomended for Mav's Set and the Summoner not haveing Trang Set. Are they just not that usefull for the build or is it just hard to get the items so you dont post them for the item parts.
In many cases the complete sets are not the ultimate equipment for a certain build. There are many sets that are quite good in their complete form though. Tal Rasha is a good example. Those set are often quite hard to find though, so you probably wont recommend it as easy to find gear either.

To reply to your example, Mav's set is the worst a stafezon can get. The pieces are hard to find and it's much easier to acquire runewords or uniques that are better. The only build where the Mav set really shines is the Frostmaiden.

Ouch...
I have a level 87 strafezon that uses complete Mav's...
She can do quests in hell fine if there are only 2 or 3 people in the room, but after that, she starts killing things too slowly away from the party to be truely effective.
oh, and complete Aldurs set is about as worthless as it gets.
But Mav, Trang, Nat's and Tal's are all good and fun, maybe not the best, but good and fun.
