Zul'Gurub boss
Zul'Gurub boss
I could use some advice on how to beat the boss with the raptor (I'm sorry I can't remember his name because it was very late by the time we got to him)? On our first attempt we killed the raptor first but this alone was very hard, some were already down when we started on the boss who hits VERY hard, one blow killed the MT...
So, any ide how to beat him?

Killing the raptor first is the way to go. Everyone except 2-3 healers and the MT should go for the raptor and kill it as fast as possible. Now tanking the raptor boss himself is quite hard especially if someone does anything when being watched by him. So it is really important to not do anything when you are being watched, because if you die you make the boss harder.
I can't remember exactly if the boss uses mortal strike but if he does you want to have a priest that tries to shield the MT as soon as the mortal strike lands. This gives you some breathing room for you to heal the MT to full HP again.
It might also be a good idea to have a second tank build aggro so that if the first one dies, melee dps will not get aggro but the second tank will.
My guild has enever actually used any of the tactics I mentioned above. We just zerg kill him, but if you are not decked out in MC/BWL epics the fight can be alot harder.

I'm not 100% sure but I think that for every third person that dies he gains attack power and total health. When about 6 people have died he becomes very hard to tank, and more people tend to die. If you can keep the number of casualties below 6, you should be able to take him. If more than 6 dies, things tend to get messy.
