Pet disbanding question

Post by Gobatcha »

I want to do some secondary quests, but I don't want to remove NPCs to make room for new ones. I want to temporarily disband my pet.
1) Can pets be disbanded?
2) If I disband a pet can I re-hire him at the inn like an NPC?

Yes and yes.

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

I tell you a trick: attention to don't press the "Free" button when the game ask if you want to send the animal in tavern or return him free :P

Thanks for the replies

Thank you for the assistance. I disbanded my pet dire wolf to the inn in Amanlu. Now I'm working the Finala Contempt quest and the Arinth the Mad quest. The bummer is that Finala is 22 level and you need to be 28th level to use the staff. So I'm running around, backtracking, killing stuff to get her experience up. Slow going. Maybe I'll keep her on the team anyhow.

My problem is that I do not see the point in releasing the animal back into nature. It should atleast turn on you and give you a good fight. But this *puff* and gone ... must be for girls.

The problem with team members not advancing fast enough is a real problem. If their level is too low they can even stop advancing. I had to advance two NPCs seperately (Tara, when going to veteran and Amren, when going to elite) using the increased experience chant and by killing monsters only in the jungle just north of Eirulan to integrate them back into my party.

But this game has some many little bugs hopefully this gets fixed in a future patch.
