MF Sorc Shields (C Elegan)

One more question about your listing of items in the meteor/orb sorc build. You list either a stormshield, or a viscertaunt shield socketed with a p diamond, would a lidless socketed with a p diamond work as well? It is as well +1 to skills as is the viscertaunt, with good defense, fcr, and +10 energy. I have a lidless on my sorc right now, and I was debating whether or not I should socket it and put a p diamond in it, figured i'd ask first before wasting a socket quest.

The Lidless has considerably lower block than the Viscerataunt and the Stormshield. Viscerataunt has 60% block, if you upgrade it to a heater (which I recommend) it will get 72%. Stormshield has 67% block, plus the 25% increased chance of blocking, the 35% faster block and the 30% damage reduction. Lidless has only 40% block, and will remain at 40% also if upgraded. Thus, if you have a lack of socket quests, I would recommend you to wait until you've found a Viscerataunt or a Stormshield. Personally, I always use an upgraded Viscerataunt for this build.

You can go with a Lidless too, but you won't be able to max blocking rate efficiently. Blocking rate is very nice, but you can survive without it too if you have quick enough reflexes

Sure you can use a Lidless too, I used one on my current FO/CL MF-sorc until I found a Viscerataunt...Both the Meteorb and FO/CL are builds that have no lack of stat points, so if you have problems you can always put points in Vita. My old Meteorb from the last ladder still have over 100 unassigned stat points although she has max block dex.

MF Shields

Alright, i'll probably wait until I get a viscrtaunt. I had one on my old paladin, but not thinking it would be of any use to me, I gave it to a friend lol. I got an occy yesterday alot cheaper then I thought I would get one for (Ko + Fal) But I still use ali babas for my switch right before I kill meph. I tele to durance 3 using magespike and lidless, then switch off to alis and rhyme, i'll probably socket my occy and ist it like you reccomended, the damage will be alot greater.
