Hammerdin

The build looks simple to me, just follow the synergy. But what should the stats look like? How much Str, Dex, Vit, and Energy do they need?

Don't put anything into energy. Put only enough into strength and dexterity to enable you to wear good armour/wield whatever weapon you're aiming to get.
And put absolutely everything else (as much as possible) into vitality.
There's a good recipe for Hammerdins on
http://www.gamefaqs.com that I followed, and am now level 89 (?) - been a while since I did it now - and doing around 13k to 15k in damage. I can do Hell Baal runs solo using the build recommended in the guide posted on gamefaqs.

I can't understand how people are able to do so much damage, my current Hammerdin is about level 64 and has 18 Blessed Hammer, 20 Vigor, 20 Concentration and 4 in Blessed aim. With my current point distribution I'm only doing about 1700 - 2000 damage per hammer, it won't be long before I max my last synergy either...

Dex should be set to the required amount for Max Block with planned end-game shield and Holy Shield level.
Damage above 12K requires lots of +skills.

yeah shield definately has to be Hoz, and at least 14-15 + skills (hoto, nigma, shako, arach, hoz, torch, maras, sojs) my bud has 10k right now with 1 soj, and no +skill charms, and at 7-8 thousand, you can easily solo hell baal and whatnot.

I was able to solo hell baal at lvl 65. Just high enough for enigma, hoto, shako, soj's, hoz, etc. But once I hit 81 I was doing 12-13k with arachnids mesh. If you cannot afford SOJ, shoot for Bul Kathos rings as they also add +1 to skills and some life based on char level. With CTA my health was about 3k by lvl 80's.

Well im about level 89 right now and im doing around 6K damage because im too poor to affored some nice stuff, like hoto, hoz, engima, and rings. But i got to wondering, What weapon should I give my henchman? Should i give him insight our some other type of weapon?

What aura does he have?
You can give him an Insight, it's a good and very cheap runeword. If you have a Reaper's Toll, the Decrepify is nice. Since you need more skills, don't forget to roll grand charms with pgems for combat skillers. If you don't have one already, keep your eyes open for a good pally shield to make Spirit in until you find a HoZ. You can make Spirit in a weapon too.

Right now im using a wiz spike for my weapon and i already have a spirit, waitng to find a hoz. My guy does have a Reaper Toll on him, i was just wondering if i should get a Insight for him. And the aura he uses is frost.

dude, get rid of reapers, its uneeded on hammerdin, hammers easily take out anything, merc damage is uneeded, all its job is is to support the hammerdin. lay on a eth colossus voulge insight, and simple tal rasha helm. armor should be griswolds or something for +strength to hold the insight. with concentration on, merc will get about 6-8 thousand damage, and this is only so it can restore its health good. just stick with freeze and insight. reapers is bad for hammerdins. (its also bad for smiters! it takes off life tap!)
