Gah, adding char's under vetran

Post by Redde »

Hello :)

Just finished the mercenary mode, started vertran, and found it impossible to remove the old chars (the lvl 20ish i have in the inn) so that i can add the new lvl 45ish vetran ones.

I read something about if i have a 20 lvl difference, it will cause the old chars in inn too auto lvl up, but now at lvl 49 im trying to add eva (29) and it wont work.

Any hints/tips/pointers?

The 20 level difference isn't always reliable. Usually 21 works better. Instead, try this:

1. Move the level 20 character that you don't want onto the second page of the inn by hiring and then disowning them. If you don't have a second page, make one by hiring pets.

2. There will be a button at the top of the innkeeper window that says "release." While you have the person selected, press the button.

3. Now hire that new character!

Hope that helps.

The release button has some problems in the game. People have had better luck with it if they buy pets and move the person they're trying to release to the second page at the inn.

Levelling up is somtimes hit or miss, even when you move characters from page to page. I am currently levelling up Princess Eva (level 69) to the level 88 of my other team members by walking through the game from start to end - when it gets time to fight I'm entering "Wait" mode with Eva selected so that she does all of the offensive attacking - the others defend themselves if hit, but otherwise let her do the business; I'm only using "Mirror" mode when she gets into serious health problems; that way she seems to meet opponents that closely match HER level, and she levels up at a rate of about 1 level for 1.5 to 2 hours play. Frustrating, but if I don't get her up to the same level as the others she is rapidly outlcassed by opponents in Mirror mode......

It makes the game quite interesting because you really need to think about how to tackle some situations!
