Help Finala's quest

I cannot complete the Finala's Contempt quest. In the Darthrul secret hatchery I cannot open the gate. The walkthrough says "in the back you’ll find a locked gate flanked by a bomb. To open the gate, simply attack the bomb." Actually I've never found the bomb. Could any1 help me out?

The bomb looks like a round objevt (basket?). Use a bow or other ranged weapon to explode it or you could take some serious hit points....

That bomb

is on the right of the gate as you look at it, use any ranged weapon to explode it or when it goes off there's a good chance it will kill you.

I too have this same problem and I did blow up the spiked ball bomb next to the door. However, the cage still won't open ... when I click on it, it says something like it's locked and mentions something about a Morden glymph (or something like that). There are 2 more bombs in the cage and I blew them up too but still the cage won't open. Any ideas?

Bombs not allowing gates to open

I think that what may be happening is possibly related to two things, the first, make sure you have patched your game to the latest available patch, second, if that doesn't help, try reloading from an earlier save and redoing that section again.

It may also be a good idea to check one of the many walkthroughs available for this game for some ideas, but if memory serves, that glyph is a stone tablet that you get earlier (I think it is in the Finala's Contempt quest), so the answer here may well be to go and look at what loot you got from each - DO NOT sell any of these sort of things, and you could also check your storage chest to see if it's there. if so, get it in your inventory and try again.
