Favorite NPC

Post by fable »

You know the standard operating procedure by now:

Face to the wall, hands spread, and name your favorite NPC in P:T!

Mine is Annah. Not, I hasten to add, because of the rattail and legs that go up the ceiling (cough), but because once she gets some levels and a good gauntlet, she's a dynamite ninja-type thief.

Comments?
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Morte's fun and Vhailor is cool as hell. Dak'kon has his jedi thang going on, and Ingus is endearing in his little *burn*psychopath*burn* way. Annah and Fall-from-Grace are both hot and who can resist having a modron like Nordom in the party? Hmmm I guess that really doesn't answer which is my favorite. Image Image

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Dak'kon has the whole "If you even try to fight me, I'll break my foot off in your ass" thing going on. That alone makes him a kick ass character. Plus, when he really gets high in levels, he becomes a god almost!

Annah is good to because, as was mention, she's Annah. The legs help too! Image

Yeah, Ignus rulez! Only problem with him is that most monsters are immune to fire(Abishai, Glabrezu etc.). Why the hell does he have 20 Con?! He's a burning mage?!

He's constantly on fire. I guess that makes your skin a little leathery after awhile. Image

Vhailor was really cool in my opinion, especially his role in the final battle. Great design and voice-acting too.

Too bad you found him in the late stages of the game.

**spoil**

I would have to say the Dakkon is my favorite. The premise of the NO on a quest to find his soul as he helps Dakkon find his focus really resonates. From the story's perspective there isn't another NPC that really *has* to help NO.

Besides it is just like NO's engineer incarnation...oops :D I mean Practical incarnation to build the Circle anyway.

I totally forgot about the Nameless One! I guess he’s an NPC too, given that he has his own prewritten history (you just get to shape the personality of his current incarnation). The whole mystery that surrounds his existence is what hooked me to Planescape when I first played it. I guess that solves my dilemma. The Nameless One is my favorite! ;) :D
