Parties
Ok, so I just added Fall-From-Grace to my party (NEUTRAL tanar'ri?!) and since I'm about to go get Ignus I needed to decided who'll be in my party in the long run.
I'm definitely keeping the Nameless One , Morte (for the laughs and I haven't used skull mob yet so I want to check it out), Dak'kon (I want to see his blade until it is of the same quality as the blade that's supposedly his in BG2), Annah (because I don't want to spend time as a thief).
Now I don't know, at the begining I wanted Nordom and Vhailor, now I'm not so sure... Maybe Fall-From-Grace/Ignus and Vhailor/Nordom?
Also, is there an experience cap I need to know about?
And where is the Modron Cube?

Personally i would drop Annah, thiefs are not entirely necessary for most of P:T's game, as you will probably re-play at some point you will be able to get the relevant NPC dialogues again.Originally posted by Rodo:

Vhailor is cool, but one gets him too late and he doesn't level up quick enough for him to be worth the time IMO. However he is the coolest haracter ever i nany game anywhere "I am Vhailor" if you ever watched the Spawn cartoons you will recognise the voice
Ingus is certainly a very good mage and worth the time
Not really, i soloed through with the namless one and never hit it
The modron cube is with Lady Virishka (blue lady with wings in upper ward) it is one of her exotic items
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

There's no experience cap.
My favorite party which I always seemed to gravitate to, no matter how often I played, was:
Nameless One
Morte
Dak'kon
Annah
Fall-From-Grace
Nordom
I preferred Nordom as a ranged fighter to Ignus, because I used the lens that made Nordom extremely hard to hit; and because I preferred the extra effects that some of his bolts had. It's purely a matter of personal choice, but remember, too, that if you have Ignus in your party, Vhailor is out. Both can't survive in the same group, for long.
Morte: His taunting feature is fantastic. I actually used it to prevent Tria from casting on my party, while everybody else whaled on him.
Annah: IMO, she develops into a great party addition, becoming virtually a ninja over time. I sent her into a few dungeon areas entirely on her own, where she was able to pick off all the monsters one by one, without any aid. Hide, attack, run, hide, attack, run, etc. One tough broad, as the saying goes.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
I think this differing of opinion is an illustration of what makes P:T so goodOriginally posted by fable:

Definitely, @Sleep. Although there are far fewer NPCs available for your party than in BG2, their individual strengths in various playing strategies in P:T give each a unique appeal.Originally posted by Mr Sleep:

@Rodo: I wanted to try all NPC:s, and I found myself not wanting to drop neither Dak'kon nor Morte even temporarily. I finished the game with:
NO
Morte
Dak'kon
Annah
Fall-from-Grace
Nordom
and Annah was the person I dropped to make space for Vhailor and Ignus when I played with them.

Certainly. She has an excellent range of healing spells, Prayer, Raise Dead, Protection From Evil, Curse, Bless, and two fine attack spells, Spiritual Hammer, and the still better Call Lightning.Originally posted by Rodo:

I'm racking up 100,000's of points using Nordom in the UnderSigil area, where with his +5 in Bow he is whacking all the Larval Worms and Trelons that he can find. Just can't seem to hit a Glabrezu, due to the lack of +2 bolts...A really neat character to have in your party. I dropped Morte to pick up Vhailor, and sort of regret it. But, Vhailor is a pretty great fighter.
Yes, she is a very good for healing, and her Call lightening is great, since it can be used indoors although the description says otherwise. She is also a good character to have since she has a lot of interesting dialogue.Originally posted by Rodo:

It's decided then. I'll pick up Nordom and then maybe drop him (if I don't like him) or Annah or FFG for Vhailor (I like Morte and Dak'kon).
Also, can you give me a rundown of what the Zerthimon spells do? Especially Missile of Patience and Zerthimon's Focus.

IT is a spell which gets better with the levels of your character IIRC, can be good once high enough levelOriginally posted by Rodo:

Zerthimons focus - just like the discription , inceases your chance of criticals - however i generaly found there were better spells fro those 3rd lvl slots. - if it guaranteed criticals i would have used it all the freaking time.

personaly I never worked out missile of patience - I maintain it's gotta be cool - that crossbow etc. but scince i could not work out how to use it effectivly i ended up using std magic missile. Also, can you give me a rundown of what the Zerthimon spells do? actualy you can talk to nordon as a fighter, mage and thief for different benifits as long as your primary stat for the stat for the class is over 16 and your lvl is over 6 (i think ) also there are a lot of general conversation options which can be used for any class. these become available when you tell nordom you are the creative director. Nordom Is IMHO one of the best NPC's available especialy with his wide range of available lenses(if you spend the time to find them)Picked up Nordom. His talking is quite annoying. I need to be a fighter to access his special powers right?

Well, obviously since I'm already in Carceri (with its non-ending supply of gherelths) I met Vhailor. I decided Annah was better than him (backstab + exploration - priceless in Baator), I didn't want to give up Dak'kon's magic (and he's a pretty good fighter, with the lowestAC), Morte (for mages and he poisons), FFG (need healing, Curst prison killed my charm supply) and Nordom is too goo to pass up! So what I did is used friends and caused him to cease to exist (after teaching me how to use the ax), this way I lowered my fighter thac0 and got a nice xp bonus for my mage total (especially since I had 25 wisdom). The only 'loose' PNPC cannon is Ignus (who already taught me all spells and is now happily scorching the floor in the Smoldering Corpse bar.
