Broken World: Dwarf + Fist of Stone
Broken World: Dwarf + Fist of Stone
has nebody focused on this skill with a dwarf, i was wondering how this would be possible coz you hafta level melee and nature at the same time, then divide the powers into 3 categories, isnt the dwarf goin to be reali weak???
To me, the Fist of Stone in a four character party has advantages and disadvantages
- your melee capability is less than with a pure melee character
- your healing and defensive nature mage skills mean you more or less have one and a half nature mages, whilst still being able to deal out some (admitedly lower) damage
- you add a few extra skills/powers that are specific to the Fist of Stone
- because your skill points have to be split over 3 categories you will naturally not advance as fast in each category as with a single category character...
It's not worse or better, it's simply another way to configure your group and makes you think a bit more about how you will face different situations. The same principals apply to the Blood Assassin.
In DS, LOA and DS2 my parties of 6 have tended to be 3 melee, and one of each of the other classes. However, I suspect when I've worked up to the 6 character game in Broken world I'll try it with Melee, Ranged, Nature Mage, Combat Mage, Fist of Stone and Blood Assassin just to see how it pans out.
Just enjoy the game!

Fist of stone + Assasin = Tough to beat
actualy the dwarf is doin pretty well, same as the assasin... just because u concentrate ONLY on MELEE and FIST OF STONE... NO point on natural magic... if u want to heal ... better get some NM in ur party. Anyway you gonna have the lvl required to cast nature spells just no need to IMPROVE them by wasting valuable skill points on NM skills. What i did with my FofStone character .. i concentrate on melee skill lvls, and SOME fist of stone skills coz MOST of them are useless... i mean depends what kinda char u want to make..if u need UNBEATABLE TANK ... fist of stone is the answer... makes the char realy though to deal with... and + heal on autocast ... u can sit in the middle of the rumble and just drink ur coffe....... Assasin on the other hand has same type of built...only RANGE and BLOOD skills... from range u DONT need to add any points to DODGE and SURVIVAL (as u get them from items) ... my DERU has 25 points on dodge and survival and ALL is from items ... all u need from blood skills is RAVAGING STRIKE ... nothing else worth the points!!! and blood soaked shots and some other stuff... the rest on RANGE skills... assasin is pretty easy to develop...

I agree with My6kato, i would advise you to go with thrown weapons and concentrating on "Richochet" & "Take Aim"(from the ranged skill tree) and to use "Execute"(from the blood assasin tree).my6kato wrote:actualy the dwarf is doin pretty well, same as the assasin... just because u concentrate ONLY on MELEE and FIST OF STONE... With "Ricochet" you'll hit multiple opponents, with "Critical Shot" you'll encrease the chances of hiting multiple enemies and with your "Execute" power you'll slaughter every bastard in your way.(IF you've activated a mark i mean):mischief: :mischief: :mischief:
