DS2 over to B.W.

I'm still playing Dungeon siege 2, but was reading about some bug that makes it so you can't carry your party over to Broken world. Can someone elaborate on what exactly the story is behind this? Am I gonna have to start a whole new party for B.W when I do begin this game? Thanks

converting your DS II party into BW isn't the problem
the bug that makes your last save game disappear is

therefore to make sure that you convert from your last save game, go to your SAVE directory (C:\Documents and Settingsonly\"user name"\My Documents\My Games\Dungeon Siege 2\Save\SinglePlayer\"char_name") and remove the extension of the .temp file there
this way it converts from your last save game (and not from a previous one)

Thanks, I do believe I understand now.
When you say remove the extension, do you mean the extension ".tmp" file?

Was this the same bug that had to do something with not being able to leave the inn? (or something in that line) when you started BW?

yes, it's the .tmp extension
the only bugs i found with the inn, is that sometimes, although he/she is in the inn, you cannot add a character from the inn to do a specific quest with
and sometimes a npc is not where it's supposed to be, it just vanished
