Got owned hard! *spoiler*

Post by badboyd22 »

hey,

I just got a little firther in Nightmare stage.. and reached Tristam.. met Girsworld, like normal.. found out he also was fire enchanted (randomly enchanted?).. he hit me.. i sucked his life with life steal... i almost won.. had 510 of 512 hp left..gave him the final blow with my sword..
and BAM! dead... Griswold explodes in my face and im dead..

How on earth can a fire enchanted being get rid of 510 hp with 32 fire resist! IN ONE BIG BOOM!?!

How do i fight such a thing that instantly kills me when i kill him?

Actually, if you were right next to him killing him in nightmare, the fire enchantment explosion at the end would do closer to maybe 1000-1500 damage with a perfect 0 of resistance. Now, 32 isn't much more of a resistance, 32 fire resistance simply means you resist 32% of the damage.

So you're still going to get 800 or 900 points of damage from something like that.

Yes, but not all of them are as strong as Griswold. By the time you get to act 3 nightmare, prolly even act 4 nightmare, any boss in that area with fire enchantment will be just about as strong as griswold (meaning, by then, you'll be able to take it with the amount of resistance and hit points you have.)

32% resist is neither much or enough, once you start seeing lightning spires or god hate them Gloams then things will be quite apparent that 75% sometimes isn't enough.

Damn Gloams.
