Question for Specific Armor Locations??

Post by Hector_of_Troy »

I know this has to be the umpteenth-million time this has been asked, but I just wanted to know if anyone has ideas of areas that have worked for them for farming epic/legendary items. Specifically, i'm trying to assemble "Memnon's Raiment" http://www.gamebanshee.com/titanquest/setitems/memnonsraiment.php
I already have "Memnon's Trust; (The sword) and would just like to see if anyone has had success or consistency finding certain items at all. I understand the very randomness of the game, I just was wondering if the only viable option is to spend weeks of endless farming for such random items??? (cause that's become my second job)

Also, I'm assuming I need to stay in Greece to find the said items??

Thanks, better get back to searching.

No, aside from relics and few other things, there is no set location for item drops as item drops are completely random.

My suggestion, do a Telkine or Typhon run a few times. Those mystical orbs have the highest drop rates for unique items in the game.

I do think that the drops are specific to culture (or at least more likely) I have noticed more Chinese drops in the orient.

However I think this might be an artifact of level. If you are level 24 and farmed the greek telkine you might find chinese armor just because your level 24 if that makes sense. Obviously I haven't tested this.

The best way to assemble a set I would guess would be to trade or cheat by creating a map with the item you want. I would think the second option would erode half the fun of the game and the first option might even be fun in itself as long as the people you met weren't idgits.

Edit: Oh I just looked at your post again and you know what I have that set... I can't trade with you untill they update TQ vault to TQ 1.30 (and I guess Immortal Throne since thats in the mail for me :) ). Anyhow, when the vault gets updated maybe we can trade. But I want something in return. Thats my only complete set!!! Also theres a trick on that set. You can get all the set bonus if your missing one piece but have 2 rings (in case you want to swap in a different gear).

I am looking for things for a nature/rogue who is level 43 but I'll take other quality items that I can eventually build into a character. My char is struggling...I can only make epic typhon very angry!!! and he kills like 70 wolves during the course of the battle haha.

Well, you only see Oriental armor in the orient, true, but with the new expansion, things are definitely changing. The FIRST time you see it this is true, but after that, you can find it anywhere.

I found quite a few Zeus's Thunderbolts, Prometheus Flames, and Artemis' Bowstring Relics in the orient. And after I got to epic, I found some oriental items from normal in the epic greece.

yeah, i've found the same Greek artifacts in Egypt and the Orient after my progression to epic as well...guess the overwhelming random item drops of the game is a good ploy to keep you involved well after the Quest is over!

I do enjoy keeping a few of the "worthless" epic items I've found around, just to have flexibility in my char. (Conquror, especially since this build isn't very highly praised for flexibility anyhow).

What in the world did you just say? You can't cheat in multiplayer games. If you actually manage to cheat in the game, you'll probably be banned from trying to hack. Plus, I don't think anybody has mentioned any multiplayer gaming going on in the first place.
