Immortal Throne "Stuttering" problem

Post by sgpauley »

Have been playing the Titan Quest Immortal Throne Game for some time and all was well. Have reached a point Tower of Judgement (Dread Path) portal. As soon as my player steps on the "Dread Path" the game begins to "Stutter" for lack of a better description. My player as well as the NPCs freeze for a moment then "hurry" to catch up only to stop again. This makes it impossible to continue and the problem persists after going backwards in the game. If I restart the game and go anywhere but forward all seems well, but once I go forward the "Stuttering" starts and then persists.
I have the most current display and audio drivers.
I have rebooted, do not need to Defrag and have reloaded the TQIT game.
I have reduced all video options to minimum and still have the problem.

PC TQIT V 1.1
Windows XP (Have automatic updates working so current version)
Pentium(R) CPU 3.00 GHz 2.00GB RAM

Also am trying to install v1.11 on my own as the "update" option in the game does't seem to work and am having trouble with v1.08 stand alone. Getting updater encountered an error no code just message.

NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX 8.1.9.8

Can someone help????

Thanks

I actually have this problem myself, most of which occured in that area, and I just thought it was my hardware. Now that I'm seeing you have hardware much better equipped than I do, I'm not sure what's going on really.

But if this is happening to gamers with different PC system specs, it might be a problem with the game and not with us, thus a patch might fix it. Just a theory anyways.
