Damage Reflection

Post by Jeeden »

I was wondering how damage reflection worked. If I have say 100% physical damage reflection, will I not take any damage or will I take it then sent it right back? If I had say 120% physical samage reflection would that heal me?

Thanks.

Pain comes first!

...supposed it would heal you, don't you think that would be a bit strange, like permanent low-cost invulnerability guaranteed by game concept!?

So no, i't won't heal you, only a certain amount of the damage you have suffered first (lost health points) will be reflected back to the enemy.
Also, pain reflection affects only melee or ranged damage (generally at least, eg. the damage cause by the spit of Skitter monsters may be an exception).

Well, you can try it out, just look for some items with these reflection bonuses and get a mature Dire Wolf - with some luck you will reach >100% pain reflection.

I read somewhere that there is a maximum of 80% for any immunity, even if all your immunities added together are more than 80%. This is probably for game balance so you don't become completely immune to anything (except when using the NM invulnerability power). It also helps protect against what the game would do if you did get over 100%.

Items with damage reflection don't stack, do they?

Pain reflection bonuses are cumulative (as most other bonuses).

Also i never have seen any limit in the game rules/code, thus with some legendary enchantable items and a Dire Wolf emanation more than 100% easily are possible - thus if you would set a prevalance in this bonus then it should always reach full effectivity.
