Any hints on defeating Cerebus (or was that his name?) My lvl 39 Paladin won't survive too long against him. My Poison resistance is 55%. Is there any place to flee? What strategies you used? Ranged? Melee? Scrolls?
I'm playing on Normal difficulty.

The most important thing for Cerberus is to not stand on the cracks in the floor, because that's where the poison flames shoot up. It probably wouldn't hurt to find another poison resistance item just to use for this one battle.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

I DEFEATED HIM!!!
Last Tue I finally won Cerberus. This was my tactic: I bought a nice melee weapon (Akinakes of Ice) and upgraded it with the dark medicine upgrade. When I engaged him I cast a Lightning Bolt on him and then ran back to the door. He followed me and cast his poison grenade. I avoided it and cast ice shards on him. Then I used a Scroll of Vulnerability and started smashing him, outside the range of the poison gas
When my I had lost around 1000 health I drank a Health Potion, This way it had recharged before my health was too low. It cost many potions but the creature fell and I standed.
