Just a quick question. May have been answered already in previous post and if it has by all means lock this one.
My question is in that I have hit a cap with Distortion wave at 4 levels above the max in the skill tree (e.g skill tree says 12 I have managed to get to 16 but theoretically from +skill gear it should be like 18.) does the game cut out any bonuses to that particular skill there?
or does it register the additional + to skills on top of that but just does not display or calculate it and display it as a stat past a certain point?
The crux of the question for me really is that should I be wasting skill points (item or straight leveling) to go beyond the limit or should I just invest in another skill all together because the current skill is maxed.
Its just been puzzling me really.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.
The 'actual max' is +4 above the maximum points you can dump in a skill (without +skill). What you can do is max things at +4 cap and then to a mystic and make sure you are not 'wasting' points...put those in other skills.
+4 skills is a magic number allowing you to get great benefit. The next break point is +9 since more than +9 means that 6 pt skill trees are wasting pionts (11) with 1 pt in the skill.
You need purple skills gear, revenant gear, stonebinders, sacred gear to get +9.
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
ok. So +4 to the max that is displayed in the skill section is the max anything above that is wasted (ie. visual cap at 10 but actual max is 14).
I guess it encourages people using lots of different skills to get by rather than just one or two that have been pumped to astronomical proportions.
This suits me fine - cos I like trying all the differnet skills in the game and the combinations in which to cast them to best effect.
Thanks Claudius for the reply.
