What's the best way to take out the Dragon Liche in Epic?

Post by jeanjeni »

I have this Dragon Liche in the Orient that keeps handing my tail to me. Can someone give me some suggestions of how I can reverse the situation? I would really love to hand him HIS tail!

TitanCalc by stonedonkey - A Titan Quest Calculator

I would first suggest posting your build. That way we can see what your weaknesses and strengths are.
Listen up maggots, Mr. Popo's 'bout to teach you the pecking order.
It goes you, the dirt, the worms inside of the dirt, Popo's stool, Kami, then Popo.

Another key is to know what resists to stock up on in the battle with the lich. I don't know for sure. Maybe someone else does...
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

I think your resists are too low. He is probably using more attacks than just poison and physical. I bet there is some undead ray (vitality) and perhaps piercing? Plus its a dragon so maybe an elemental attack too. Your fire looks ok but the others are low.

Its hard to find resists when you are gunning for dps and you have no shield. Maybe I am just a defensive minded guy. I never tried playing with low resists. My illusionist has 80 in all primary 100 stun 50 vitality/energy. Not bragging mind you she has trouble killing dangerous things even with all that defense because her dps is only 2000 or so (+ skills such as plague traps etc).

I think battle mage is a hard character but I know its possible. Some shields alone give you 50 resists in every category. You could have that on switch for such a beast. Of course it might take forever for that to drop but you might find some better armor or swords or rings etc while your at it.

I <3 Hack & Slash!

Yeah...I can find me a shield...but it does take forever. He does have some sort of elemental attack when he flaps with wings. I tried using a Greater Elemental Sheilding scroll and it kept me clear of the wind, but he keeps handing me my tail with his Ice Breath. I personally LOVE "hack & slash", especially after a hard day at the office with clients asking for the impossible! But this? This...lol...reminds me of an ex! LMFAO!! Oh..lol..ok...back to the reply.

I'm going to farm for a while till I can find me a suitable shield. Come to think of it, I think I let my Evoker hold one for me. I couldn't figure out whether I wanted to keep it or not.

If you're coming somewhere with the battle, scrolls might just give you the edge you need. They saved my tail a couple of times. Don't forget about them.

I just killed this one. It's rather odd how much the difficulty differs from class to class. I looked at him and he died basically.
I let my ancestral warriors take the hits, stood behind him, and onslaught my way through his health. Took me less then a minute at level 50.

I reckon classes should differ, but that much?

Li.
