Nice topic .)
I have the same question but it concerns rather characters than items.
I have a 5 member party (tank, deru, taar, vix, amren) in the middle of elite in DS2 at the moment and have just also installed BW on my second pc to give it a try. Mostly to see who could complete my party the best if I shall covert my DS2 characters to BW (and since there are not many chars left to hire as my 6th in DS2 now).
And I am sort of confused about those new fistofstone and bloodassassin characters. I find them quite useless tbh. If one has a party consisting of tank, naturemage, combatmage + 3 ranged of what use are these hybrid characters? Seems to be fit for solo play or lets say 3 or maximum 4 man party imho. Would you agree?
Plus I have noticed some users complaining about their party being weakened after transition to BW so I am almost decided to finish my campaign in DS2 and start BW with a new party. If I pick one of the two new characters it would be mostly to avoid playing with exactly the same party as in DS2 I guess )
Hope the 4th act is worth it...
To BW or not all again
To BW or not all again
I dont upgrade my pc anymore, I play old games for old people
True your characters ARE weakened.
Go to any of the "Skills" pages and you'll see it has them on both DS2 and BW,with the BW ones being less than the DS2 ones, and as most people will do BW after doing DS2 at least once then they're characters will suddenly be crapper than they where.
must have got sick on the bus eh?

Nah, they prolonged the skill tables to reach lvl30, and halved armor modifiers since armor made chars so damn unkillable. Particularly the Tank. No fun in playing w/o danger of dying. skill tables are not capped @20 anymore and prevent picking some foreign class skill for great effect, which was a bit cheesy too i think. Forcing us to create more focused characters. So both pretty good balance changes. + an increased difficulty overall. Playing with BW was way more interesting than w/o. Merc difficulty in original campaign is a blast then. Its either you or them, to the death. :speech:
