main character new or known?

Post by greensaber »

I know that there is already a thread about wether the main character should be human or alien. But the next question is should it be a known person (some-one who appeared in kotor I-II) or a complete new one?
"Know that there was once a Darth Traya. And that she cast aside that role, was exiled, and found a new purpose. But there must always be a Darth Traya, one that holds the knowledge of betrayal. Who has been betrayed in their heart, and will betray in turn."

I hope that the main character will be the exile. I like my own exile

I hope that the main character will be Revan and the Exile will also be in your party.

Seems like we talk around this subject quite a bit in other threads. I know there are loads of people who would love to play the protagonist of the first KoTOR game, again. I suppose that could be interesting. My inclination is that playing an entirely new character would probably be for the best.

Assuming they do complete a third game that stands in line with the story of the first two, I've often wondered how they would handle the Exile and Revan. Would they be portrayed as background characters like Revan was in KOTOR2? Or, would they become more fully fleshed out NPC where certain choices from the first two games were negated for the sake of making the game flow better. Hopefully, one day we'll actually get some real information on a KOTOR3 and will find out the answer.
