System failure?

When i try to start Diablo2 LoD it wont start. Wont start at all. I click the icon and nothing happens. Futhermore, after i try launching the game my computer becomes inable to start or shut down any program until i restart! I've manage to make the launch screen appear when i put the disc in drive but nothing else...

Any ideas to what i could do to make this work?

- I could go to Blizzard support, but there's like 200 pages of trouble-shoot for lock-up related errors alone, so I'd rather ask you guyes first -

These are the dead giveaway questions, so please forgive if none of these apply. Are you running Vista, if not do you have the system requirements for diablo 2, are you using a crack for Diablo 2, are you using a mod for diablo 2 or a hack?

Now, if not one of those apply to your problem, then I may have an idea.

Press Ctrl Alt Delete and go to your task manager. There are a few tabs above, press "processes."

After that, take a screenshot of all your processes (resize the task manager if you need to make all of them fit). Upload that to an image site and post the link here obviously.

The reason I ask this is because usually there's something wrong with processing when this occurs, and that might be the cause of the glitch. I've had this happen on numerous occasions and could probably point out what might be wrong with that alone.

No... As far as I know im running Diablo 2 LoD under ideal conditions. Im using xp with services pack 2, my computer is way way stronger than needed for diablo, my original diablo 2 and LoD are fully legally bought ( so of course i have valid, working cd-key... Or one should hope so

) and i have NEVER touched any mods hacks or the like. I have re-installed and patched twice but no avail either times

As for the processes, you want me to give you a screenshot yes? Well maybe im going at it the wrong way but i just cant seem to take i screenshot and make it below 100 kb and apperently it has to before i can upload it? >:I

Ahh, definitely don't upload it here.

For this kind of pic, you might need to just upload it to an image hosting site.

(this would be my processes, you have to save it on your computer to get a resulution you can actually read, if you watch on the site it wont make much sense, and oh btw, XP is in danish, but i think you can still read all the important stuff otherwise i can tell you that everything is like the english XP except it is called something else)
