Mercenary-Veteran Bug?

Mercenary-Veteran Bug?

hi,
short question:

The last time i played Dungeon Siege 2 was a pretty long time ago,
so a small question now:

When I killed Valdis at the end should'nt I be able too go and proceed with Veteran without having too solve all the secondary quests first?

The game states that I haven't completed Mercenary yet...

The secondary quests should be optional. Maybe you have to go through the portal at the end, and you forgot before? At least it's easy to go back and defeat Valdis again.

hi,
Valdis does not respawn right?
and I went through the portal twice,
the game still states that I haven't finished mercenary yet

nvr mind, the problem's solved
reinstalled DS and DS BW and the bug's gone :)
