curses. now to decide: WoW or KotOR? no way i'm paying for both. hmm.....

a shame though, that they're leaving the story hanging for potentially millions of players to pick up and finish off, optionally. and that we have to pay to find out what all happens, short of reading the lore on a website. :(

EDIT: 300 years after the KotOR games?!?!?!?! WHAT??!!?!?! k, NOW i'm REALLY pissed. *sarcasm*gj LA. way to finish a story with an ending like you did in K2. real smooth work, team...*/sarcasm* not only does this leave K2 hanging, it rules out the possibility of at least seeing, possibly even fighting/ fighting with some of them. i was on the fence about this game being an MMO, but now i'm entirely on the "against an MMO" side.

well it looks like crap, I know its not done yet, but it almost looks like the graphics took a few steps back. I'm mad. I don't want to pay every month to play a game, even if its an amazing story like kotor.

like I said before, we waited 4 long years just for an announcement for something that hardly anybody wanted. I would die to get kotor 3 but I'm just looking at past facts

11Revan26, i feel that your current signature matches the situation of a KotOR MMO instead of the rpg quite perfectly. unfortunately... :(

Wow, what really gets under my skin is that if they didn't do the mmo, they might have been announcing Kotor 3 right now. I do like how they left the door open for Kotor 3 though, 300 years before Kotor gives a lot of time.

It could also mean that they could very well finish off the story during the MMO, but from a very different perspective as if you had been playing in that era itself. I am concerned that with what happened being in the past, they could finish off the story line.

My only line of hope is that both the General and Revan went beyond the outer rim, with HK, T3 and possibly some other main characters in tow, so who knows, maybe it will take more than 300 years for news of what happened out there to filter back to the republic.

WAIT there's still hope
Go to this site, Kotor3.net - Knights of the Old Republic 3 and it has all this info on the production and rumours etc of kotor 3. :)
What side?Dark:devil :o r Light:angel:? Strong:mischief :o r Weak  ? Remember, only the Dark side shall prevail, and the light will fail.

I know almost everyone is pissed (which is most likely why there has not been a post on this thread for nearly 2 weeks) about what is happening with the game, but I just find it strange that the game producers apear to not be relating themselves to kotor at all.

I think Lucasarts must be angling for a government bailout. Build something nobody wants long enough and you'll go out of business... just ask Ford and GM.

Star Wars KOTR III?

O'kay;

I've read all kinds of post. Stating there is a KOTR III. The REAL question
really is,when is it comming? May be bleak. Might be stupid. For the true
and loyal "Star Wars" fan. They wouldn't really care. Any info of when its
comming out. If by game sysytem. Let me know.

It is highly unlikely that there will be a KotOR III, at least for now. Bioware seems to be focused on their MMO, TOR which is based around the same timeline as the kotor series. Perhaps someone might finally make the single player RPG k3 in the distant future, but as for now there is no credible sources that cite a k3 in development.

So maybe you might want to consider the TOR mmo as ur kotor 3. :p

Is there going to be a 'Star Wars: TOR' site on the GameBanshee network? That would be greatly appreciated.

Highly doubtful, giving the vast amount of data there is and the constant evolving state it is in. Given that GB's rescources are already very thin, it would be near-impossible. I'd rather see them use what they've got for real RPGs.
Besides, Torhead has all the data you'd need.
