What Would You Like to See in the Sequel?

Post by Faust »

So, the Mass Effect 2 teaser trailer is out. The game has been announced. What would you like to see done differently in the second game?

For me, I'd like to see some of the "exploration content" made more compelling. Roving galaxies only to find countless carbon copies of the same world was neither exciting or entertaining. I'd like to see more side questions and optional content produced at the quality of the main story.

I'd also like to see far less Mako content. Or, at the very least, make the Mako customizable and upgradeable.

And, I think the game would be enhanced by creating more areas like the Citadel. Three or so nice sized cities with plenty of denizens to interact with would be ideal.

I second all of what Faust said.
I would also like a little bit more stats. Not only these lame skills, but things like Dexterity, Constitution, Speed, etc. Same goes for weapons: let us customize them more!

Scripts. That's right. I said it. I want character scripts. I have a serious problem with a game that would give your Sentinel squadmate the exact same AI as your Soldier squaddie. One is built for running into a room and eating bullets. The other is not.

Two words: Female turians. I gotta admit, I'm really curious about how they look/sound. And krogan too.

I'm with Faust on bigger cities. I know it eats at memory budget, but with all these civilizations in the galaxy one would think you might come across people at some point (who aren't mummified salarians laying in obscure places).

Also, better gear at higher levels. Around level 50 I started noticing a max out on all my equipment and credits. Wound up buying crap just so I could convert it to omni-gel and earn credits for my hard work... which at that point were useless anyway.
