Help on the last 3 secondary quests of Act II

Post by dustyj »

I need to have a differant character for each of the quests.
Merran for the Mushroom Hunt;
Finala to fix the elevators and burn down more towers;
Evangaline to free the prisoners. (where is she located, anyway)
I have 4 characters, Lothar, Deru & Taar and would like not to loose them.
I read some threads about problems getting characters back. Will this apply if I dismiss a character to pick up each one of the above for just that quest; then after the 3 quest are done pick my guy back up befor getting into actII?? How do I do this?
I have a real problem with the C - hold position command. It is supper clumsy & tediuos to do a one or two character combat or spy mission.
In DS & DS Legands of Arrana Disbanding was very easy and straight forward.
Also, In those you could sellect one or several characters and move them off and tell them to hold position. Seversl battle positions such as line, circle and wedge were available. Why did they change that. Those were nice features.

Some people have had problems with this, and some haven't. FWIW I didn't have any problems. If you're worried, you can always back up your saves before doing anything.

To dismiss a character, bring up their character page. The dismiss button is (I think) in the upper right-hand corner. To get the character back, just talk to an innkeeper.
