Ok, I wonder how many people play V:TMB on their desktops, laptops, or both. Those on laptops, can you answer me a question? Well, actually a second question here, which is how long of battery life do you have when you play on batteries?

I play on a laptop and my battery life ranges from three to five hours, depending on what background tasks I am running.

I have Vista premium, and all the associated junk with that. However, I'm hoping that 7 will decrease what's being run all the time. I have a limit of 2 hours, 10 minutes. Any advice what I can turn off, keep from running will on battery to gain a bit more time? Or should I look into a different battery? It's a Toshiba Satellite. Unless I can get a few of those battery packs for a laptop to charge the battery with batteries, or something like that.

I wouldn't be surpirsied if Vista decreases battery life as it use a good ammount of resources. Honestly I have no idea if the game would work on Windows 7, so you may want to research that. My laptop has an extended battery, that's why it can last so long.
Do you play the game while traveling?

I don't have it installed, yet. I will, though, to play it while I'm out, etc. Most of the places I can get to I can use a power outlet. I think I am going to look into an extended battery for my laptop as well. Cren, does your power levels on the battery go down when you use the dvd drive, or not?

I don't think my power level goes down, however, for the sake of convenience and for the sake of preserving my discs, I try to avoid using them.

I'm going to look into a bigger capacity battery, or one of those battery extenders that I can quick charge my battery where I can plug it into the laptop, and it charges my battery that way. Anyway, I think I am going to continue my search, and see what I can find. And I am also going to continue my search on the other matter. Cren, if you don't mind, I'd like to ask you something in private.
Ok, back onto subject here, anyone else have a laptop that they are playing V:TMB on?

Send me a message and we will see if it's something that I'm willing to answer.
For an environmentally friendly solution you can also check out solar battery chargers as well. Unfortunately I do not know how effective they are. Usually, if you are traveling for a long distance, those modes of transportation tend to have a socket, though I do not know how you will be traveling exactly, so this may not apply to you. For cars, there's also a a converter.

I'm going to look into a converter for a car, and even an see about a new battery for it. I don't travel, normally, too far from home, but for Christmas, I do about 3 to 4 hours away from home. There is a 12-cell battery for my laptop, which I am going too look into. I'll also look into like an external battery charger, that uses batteries itself. I'll shop around, somewhat, for what I'm looking for.
