Post by Mini Me »

How on earth are you meant to kill drizzt? Most of my people are lvl 4, and I CAN hurt him quite a bit, but one hit kills everyone! only my PC can surive 2! what do I do? I can't get any hold or charm spells off on him either!
Please help me as I want his swords sooooo much

To kill Drizzt you should atleast be level 7, or you can use this cheesy way.
Make shure you have alot of arrows (normal arrows you need about 200) and 1 or 2 archers. Move you're entire team up to the island above drizzt. Then save and go with one party member towards drizzt, en lure him to the spot just underneath the island 9on the other side of the water). This team member will die (it could be that you have to reload a couple of times cause most of the times you can't raise dead him) and you're archers should be able to hit drizzt with the arrows (it takes a long time when using normal arrows). This tactic works great, you might need to retry a couple of times, but it works.
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

but it's a lot more chalanging to go back when you're level 7 or 8 and kill him in close combat. This way it a greater satisfaction when you're wielding the defender and wearing his chainmail+4

Actually that party member used to lured Drizzt need not have to die. Just simply use him/her to lure Drizzt to the underneath of the island then remove him from your party. Drizzt will not attack the NPC now and you can stand back watching Drizzt being wasted away slowly.

I suppose turning invisible or using a summoned creature instead would do fine as well...

I've seen another way to do it. Just surround him with some summoned skeletons and shoot him with arrows until he's cactus.

I did the same thing and it works perfectly. The only thing I had to do besides shooting arrows was summon a few skeletons extra 'cause Drizzt cuts through them like butter.

THank you very much everyone :D
I killed him using 'The island' and NORMAL missiles...I had about 400 and got close to running out. It took me like 20 tries as I made imoen drink a speed potion, and didn't keep watch for her running out of arrows so she kept running round and transforming into giblets. Also, even though he wasn't using missiles, Xan kept running round. I suppose he felt left out and wanted to join in. It is actually quite fun to see someone with 10 HP take about 45 dmg.
Splat.

Thanks again.

I had three theives just turn invisible, and backstab the bugger. I then took him out in Melee. After a culmlitive 60 some damage, he's not that tough.

i used the boots of speed and run around like crazy with one character while the rest was firing ranged weapons. and it worked rather good.

Although my people were only level 3-4 I managed to kill him on insane with using a Wand of Monster Summoning. This can be found in a ghast cave northeast from Nashkel Mines.

The tactic is clear, one character is used to lure Drizzt while the others are standing far away and summoning as many monsters as possible. These attack Drizzt and after he has been enclosed everybody shoots him with ranged weapons if necessary. The first NPC can survive with a potion of invisibility.

Here's extremely cheesy way...

Use animate dead and summon a bunch of skeletons near Drizzt. Go as far that Drizzt is nearly in the border of your viewing distance, command skeletons to attack and go away fast.

If you do it right Drizzt never turns hostile (his circle keeps cyan and don't turn to red) and just stands while skeletons beat him up. You don't see anything happen but wait patiently, you'll get messages of Drizzt taking damage every once in a while, when skeletons make hits. Eventually you'll get a message of Drizzt's death.

Having read the thread you linked (all 5 pages of 'em), your cheese made a big impression on me. Wow. Now I take even more pride in Cheesy Guild Award I received, knowing it comes from the King.
