On one hand.. It may kill some of the RP atmosphere of the last stand of Pen and paper games..

On the other hand.. I want one! ;) getting through dozens of books, piles of loose pages and searching the dices that someone has thrown behind the bed (once again!) sure may be fun, but this surface is awesome!

I thought the "virtual dice" were lame, but the rest of it.. yes, *want*. :p

It wouldn't be that difficult to go 3D (..though the off-set viewing angle would require polarized lens glasses tech currently available), or setup an overhead camera to detect the dice roll (and do the action sequence).

I could envision pubs with these tables.. Grab a bite to eat there, stay for the drinks and the gaming. :)

Especially the terrain would be nice: it takes ages if you have to draw up battlemaps.
The biggest advantage would be the possibility of easy online play, especially for people who don't have a lot of D&D players in their neighbourhood.

It looks very cool. Defenitely worth watching how that develops further.

Hey! It looks like table PCs finally have a use! Too bad they implemented that crappy radial dial from ToEE.
