Armour lasts longer(9 hours!!!) or sheild 2 ac lower
Mirror image lasts longer(depends on your lvl) but they can still see you or Invisablity they can't see you at all but you get uncovered after one hit
Armour or shield, invisability or mirror image?

Why don't you actually tell us what your problems is?
What situation are you in?
The answers should be pretty ease:
Shield if it's a short battle, armour if you're exploring a large map.
Invisibity for a first spell or hit, mirrorimage if you don't wanna get interrupted.
They work best together.

I'd spend my slots on Shield and Mirror Image. Good protection for when you really need it. You don't need that to kill Gibberlings, and you can always run or have other party members block monsters.

I think that invisibility is the most useful. If you can safely send a scout ahead to see what you're going to be up against, then it's pretty easy to defend your unarmored mage in most circumstances.Originally posted by craig:

If preparing for a boss fight, methinks Mirror Image is the obvious choice.
