this is the only tactic u will ever need in BG1 (except when fighting sarevok):
first a stink cloud into the fog of war (or where the enemies are)and just summon skeletons who are immune to its affects. keep ur party away!! then go for a stroll.
although skeletons may seem a bit weak they seem to do really well against opponents lying on the floor...hope that helps

And you don't think that'll be a little dull after a few times?
At least, my fighters aren't afraid of getting into the fray...
Anyway, in the end all that matters is enjoying your game, and if this's how you enjoy playing, so be it.

PS: because you're restricted to a somewhat low level in this game there's not too much finesse when it comes to battle. Just prove your godlike prowess superior.

Yeah that tactic, i beleive has been used by everybody. Throw a fireball or stinking cloud into the enemies. I used it alot on enemy npc parties(cloakwood mines, iron throne building, catacombs, gullykin, big time iron throne party searching for Sarevok, the guys who attack u in the inn)
